1. Smaller clear central zone (9.4mm → 6.9mm)
The clear central zone has been reduced from 9.4mm to just 6.9mm. This brings the defocus segments closer to the geometric centre of the spectacle lens. The intention is to continuously activate the near-peripheral retina, identified as the region most responsive to myopic defocus.
2. Higher Defocus Power (+3.50D → +4.50D)
The defocus power has been boosted from +3.50D to +4.50D. Defocus segments in the treatment zone now deliver a stronger myopic defocus signal to the near-peripheral retina
3. More Defocus Segments (396 → 630)
The number of defocus segments has increased significantly from 396 to 630. This ensures extensive coverage of the child’s peripheral visual field with myopic defocus signal, even for larger frame sizes.
